Montblanc 1858 Collection

Introduced as part of the Watches & Wonders 2020 platform, the Montblanc 1858 collection draws attention with its sporty-vintage models inspired by the tendency to reconnect to nature and the legacy of the brand.

Within the scope of the Watches & Wonders 2020 platform, many brands started to introduce their new models. One of the remarkable innovations of the On-Line trade show is the Montblanc 1858 Collection. The brand, which cares about nature and its history while designing its watches, includes sporty-vintage watches in this collection. The inspiration for design and product codes is based on the Minerva military chronographs of the 1920s and 1930s. This year, the brand presents a collection of blue-themed capsules, that tribute to glaciers and snowy mountain environments.

Montblanc 1858 Split Second Chronograph Limited Edition 100 (Ref. 126006)

Montblanc 1858 Split Second Chronograph Limited Edition 100 model, in which the brand reinterpreted the 44mm historical Minerva military mono-pusher chronograph, comes with a 44mm, matt Grade 5 titanium case. On the front of the watch is a curved scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflection and anti-magnetizing coating. The case shows resistance to water pressure up to 30 meters. While the crown controls the mono-pusher chronograph function, there is another pusher at 2 o'clock for the split seconds. Titanium case back with sapphire crystal compartment is fixed to the case with screws.

One of the most remarkable features of the model is the dial, which is made of monolithic gold and decorated with gradual blue grand feu enamel. The blue background is adorned with orange and white elements that take the vintage style one-step further while increasing the legibility of complications in both day and night conditions. As with the original model, the Montblanc 1858 Split Second Chronograph has a white range finder scale around its dial. The common feature of the legendary Minerva chronographs, the telemeter, adds both functionality and vintage touch to this model. There is also a snail-shaped tachymeter scale in the middle of the dial.
