Alpina is under the spotlight with its new model Seastrong Diver 300 Automatic Calanda, which emphasizes respecting our world and using its resources in the smartest way possible.
The presentation of products designed and produced using nature-friendly materials in cooperation with social responsibility projects continues to develop as a concept that we encounter more frequently in the world of watches. The most recent example in this regard comes from the well-established Swiss manufacturer Alpina.
The model from the brand's diver collection comes with a traditionally designed case. However, contrary to the classic design of the case, its construction uses an ultra-high quality steel alloy produced by Thyssen Krupp. This new material, called PuReSteel, is obtained from the recycling of carriers used in maritime transport. Designed with a diameter of 42mm and a height of 12.66mm, the stylish case hosts matte and glossy surfaces. The case, which has a sapphire crystal and a 60-minute diver's bezel on the front, is waterproof up to 300 meters with the help of the screwed case back and the screw-in crown.
On the matte black dial of the model, there are markers and hands with an old-radium-looking phosphor material applied, which offer an image in harmony with the traditionally designed case. The dial with the date window at 9 o'clock offers a sporty look with the red accent added to the second hand.
The new model hosts Caliber AL-525 based on the Sellita SW200-1. The automatic movement, which operates at a frequency of 4Hz (28.800vph), offers a power reserve time of up to 38 hours when fully wound.
The model, which is limited to only 300 pieces, comes on a strap made of recycled PET material, which is fixed to the wrist with a pin-type buckle.
The list price for the model is EUR 1.695.
