The Arnold & Son Nebula model family, which we shared its women’s version decorated with diamonds previously, in under the spotlight today with the 18K red gold men’s model.
Arnold & Son Nebula Collection includes three different references as one women and two gent’s models. The model we selected for our review is the 18K red gold case Ref. 1NEAR.S01A.D135A version.
The model comes in an 18K pink gold case measuring 41.50mm in diameter and 8.73mm in height. The case is made of 18K (5N) red gold, all consisting of shiny surfaces. The case is equipped with anti-glare coated scratch resistant sapphire crystals on both sides and is water resistant to 30 meters / 3 bars. Accompanied by a sleek winding crown, the case sports a bold look on the wrist thanks to the vivid color of 18K pink gold and thick lugs.
Arnold & Son Nebula 18K Red Gold model features a skeleton-style dial. Time is displayed on a light grey scale via hour and minute hands made of pink gold. The dial, which features symmetrically located balance wheel and small seconds counter, combines both traditional and modern design details under the same roof.
The model is powered by the brand’s manufacture movement Caliber A&S 5101. Manual winding movement, which is exclusively skeletonized, beats at a frequency of 3Hz (21.600vph) and offers a power reserve of 90 hours thanks to its double barrels.
The model we selected for the review comes on a hand-stitched brown alligator strap that is secured by an Arnold & Son signed folding clasp made of 18K red gold.
The Arnold & Son Nebula Collection also includes a stainless steel version of the model as well, which I think is a better choice when compared to the red gold version in terms of color harmony with the industrially designed greyish components of the movement.
