Introducing the new Audemars Piguet showed Selfwinding Flying Tourbillon Flyback Chronograph, one of the new flagship models of the Royal Oak Offshore product group.

ROO, which was introduced to watch lovers in 1993 and has been among the indispensable members of the luxury sports chronograph segment since then, nods to high watchmaking with the Selfwinding Flying Tourbillon Flyback Chronograph model added to the updated product line.

The new model comes with an up-to-date ROO-style case with a diameter of 43mm. The titanium case, which hosts improvements in terms of ergonomics, features black ceramic components. The case, with sapphire crystals on both sides, is waterproof up to 100 meters.

The model is accompanied by a dial designed in skeleton style and decorated with red details. The time is displayed by the black minute scale and 18K white gold hands on the outside of the dial. At 3 and 8 o'clock, there are chronograph counters with red hands in black chapter rings. The central second hand and the 5-minute markers on the minute scale, also designed in red, complete the color palette of the design. There is the AP logo at 12 o'clock and the cage for the Flying Tourbillon at 6 o'clock.

The new model is powered by the Caliber 2967, based on the Caliber 2952 used in the Code 11.59 model family. The 526-piece automatic movement with Flying Tourbillon and chronograph function operates at a frequency of 3Hz (21.600vph) and offers up to 65 hours of power reserve when fully wound.

The model, which is limited to only 100 pieces, is completed by two black straps, one of which is rubber and the other is crocodile leather, both secured by a titanium folding buckle. There is no announced price information for the model, which is planned to reach the boutiques by June 2021.
