The development of the brand, which was formed by the combination of the surnames of two friends named Bruno Belamich and Carlos Rosillo, has definitely attracted the attention of watch lovers of all ages and tastes, since its entry into the world of watches in 1992. If you ask what the secret is, the answer is of course uniqueness. Models with case forms mostly dominated by "round within a square" geometries are known as the pioneers of their category with their military and aviation themed design.

BR05 family, which joined the collection in 2019, deserves the pass card to stylish environments by combining sporty details with one of the most accepted designs in the watch world, an integrated bracelet. BR05 is a watch that carries the characteristic design details of the brand on the one hand, and on the other hand, inspired by the pioneers of the luxury-sports-steel watch concept that has influenced the watch market since the 70's. Ultimately, the purpose is to create an exclusive alternative for customers by personalizing a successful formula with touches unique to B&R.

After seeing the chronograph version of the BR05 collection, it surprised me that my approach to the three-handed models changed so much. For some reason, after getting used to the chronograph complication, I started feeling like something was missing in the three-hand version.

The watch comes in a stainless steel case measuring 42mm x 13.5mm. Every millimeter of the case consists of expertly crafted polished and brushed surfaces. Although the four screws on the bezel side look quite familiar, the screw heads aligned towards the center are more like a lesson for some Swiss manufacturers. Sapphire crystals are used on the front and back of the watch, and the water resistance value of the model is determined as 100 meters.

There are two different color options for the dial, black and blue. A special background motif has been applied to both dials, displaying various light games according to the reflection angle of the light. At 3 o'clock there is a second indicator for the hour, and at 9 o'clock the chronograph has a minute counter. The date window is placed at 4:30. As soon as we look at the dial, we can find clues about the movement inside.

The BR05 chronograph, which we guess to have a modular chronograph movement, does not mislead us, since the watch's seconds display is located at 3 o'clock. ETA 2892-2-based automatic caliber BR-CAL.301, located in the heart of the watch, has 37 jewels, operates at 28800vph and has a power reserve of 42 hours.

The Bell & Ross BR05 chronograph is complemented by a stainless steel bracelet that has an extremely tight feel. The watch, which is fixed to the wrist with a double-sided folding clasp, is also available with blue and black rubber straps. The list price is 5900 € for the version with a stainless steel bracelet and 5400 € for the strap options.
