The Bovet Sportster Saguaro Chronograph Collection presents its own interpretation of the brand, known for its traditionalism, to the luxury sports chronograph style, which is a modern concept. The young collection, which offers a wide range of products with models designed with different color and material options, finds itself on our pages today with its jet-black version.
The model comes in a stainless-steel case with black PVD coating. The case is 46mm in diameter and 17.20mm in height. The Bull Head style crown and chronograph pushers are placed at 12 o'clock and are made of uncoated steel. The case features scratch-resistant sapphire crystals on both sides and is water-resistant to 300M.
It is possible to see traces of the brand's past about pocket watches in the design of the case, which is reminiscent of the Art-Deco style. The strap, which is specially designed for the model, fits into the space in the case and is fixed with fittings designed in the form of hexagonal nuts. The lug structure at 12 o'clock has much more interesting and original design. The part designed to protect the crown at 12 o'clock is mounted on the strap. This link, which brings to mind the chain link of pocket watches, is considered one of the symbol details of the brand and is known as the 'ribbon type' in popular watch terminology.
The dial of the watch also offers details that reinforce the overall design integrity of the model. Self-winding chronograph movement, which operates at a frequency of 4Hz (28800vph) and offers 42 hours of power reserve when fully wound, is also certified by Chronofiable. The movement, which has Côtes de Genève patterns on its main plate, can be viewed through the sapphire crystal case back.
