Chopard added new chronograph versions to the Alpine Eagle model family, its successful representative in the luxury sports watch category.
When we look at the last decade, the first ones that come to mind among the trends that deeply affected the watch industry are the Heritage and Luxury Sports Watch segment models. Chopard Alpine Eagle is a young collection that is among the successful alternatives in the luxury sports watch segment. The model family, which is designed according to the trends of modern times based on St. Moritz models introduced by the brand in the 1980s, is expanding with new chronograph versions today.
The Chopard Alpine Eagle XL Chrono is home to three versions designed as stainless steel and stainless steel/red gold combination. Lucent Steel A233 and 18K Ethical Gold, which are patented steel and gold alloys, were used in the production of the cases and bracelets.
The new models come in 44m diameter and 13.15mm high cases, per the XL extension in their name. Chronograph pushers have been added to the cases, which share the same design language with the three-hand versions. The cases feature scratch-resistant sapphire crystals on both sides and have a water resistance value of 100 meters.
Two different dials are used in the new series, which consists of three models in total. The first of these is the black version, which is called Pitch Black, and the other is the blue version, which is called Aletsch Blue. Dials made of brass material are accompanied by Super-LumiNOVA filled applique indices and baton hands. At 4.30 o'clock, the dial is home to a date window. The Eagle Iris (eagle eye) pattern, which we remember from previous models, is still used, but the chronograph sub-dials are designed with a flat surface.
The models include the manufacture Caliber 03.05-C movement. Composed of 310 components, the C.O.S.C. certified automatic movement has a working frequency of 4Hz (28.800vph) and a power reserve of 60 hours when fully wound. The task of winding up the movement, which hosts the date display feature in addition to the column wheel and vertical clutch chronograph function, is given to the perforated rotor made of Tungsten alloy known for its high specific weight.
Both models are accompanied by a three-piece metal bracelet with folding clasps, which we are familiar with from previous versions.
