Aggressive design with finer details... Zenith Defy 21 Land Rover Edition reflects its collaborator Land Rover Defender down to the smallest detail.
It is always exciting to bring together two brands leading in their fields. The British Land Rover and Swiss Zenith collaboration also fits exactly in this category. The highly anticipated and recently held LVMH Dubai Watch Week 2020, in luxury watchmaking’s new meeting point in the Middle East, Dubai, witnessed such an exciting innovation.
The new-generation Land Rover Defender, which has undergone the most remarkable design evolution to date, was introduced in 2019 and attracted great attention. Zenith introduced a new model, Zenith Defy 21 Land Rover Edition, at LVMH Dubai Watch Week 2020 to crown its partnership with the luxury automaker.
The new Zenith Defy 21 Land Rover Edition brings together the spirit of the new Land Rover Defender with the 21st-century high-frequency El Primero chronograph, combining power, durability, and comfort. This model, which is limited to only 250 units, absorbs light from all angles to highlight the faceted surfaces with its 44mm micro blasting finished case. The domed sapphire crystal on the front has an anti-reflection coating on both sides. The aggressive case of Defy 21 Land Rover is water-resistant up to 100 meters. Sapphire crystal display case back protects the movement.
Zenith Defy 21 Land Rover Edition comes with a Tri-Compax dial layout. The matt gray dial has a linear power reserve indicator at 12 o'clock, which is inspired by the Defender’s fuel gauge. Time is displayed with rhodium-plated and faceted hands.
The automatic El Primero 9004 movement provides a 50-hour power reserve to the functions of the model, such as 1/100 second chronograph and center located chronograph second hand completes a full rotation in a second.
The special product of the private partnership, Zenith Defy 21 Land Rover Edition (Ref. 97.9000.9004 / 01.R787) is also offered with this special Defender gray rubber strap, and the second strap comes in black rubber with gray Cordura look.
