The cult brand Glashütte Original, with its spectacular movements as well as its traditional designs and the panoramic date display that has become a symbol of the brand, made a pleasant surprise to all watch enthusiasts, especially fans, with the latest version of its Senator Chronograph Panorama Date.
The Senator Chronograph Panorama Date collection, which features the Flyback chronograph Caliber Ref.37-01 movement presented in 2014, was available only in platinum and 18K pink gold case options.
The German brand has received great interest with the latest version of the collection introduced at Baselworld this year. Contrary to the traditional design elements identified with the name Glashütte Original, the most important feature of the model is its stainless steel case which gives it a very sporty appearance and a relatively nice price. The stainless steel case measures 42mm in diameter and features both mirror polished and satin brushed finish. The case sports double side AR coated sapphire crystals on both sides and it is water resistant to 100 meters.

Unlike the platinum and 18K pink gold models, the new model comes with a matte black dial accompanied by white gold accents. The indices and hands are filled with blue color SuperLuminova which provides a sporty look and enough contrast required for optimum legibility. The dial layout is same with the previous models of the collection but, the color palette opted for the new model offers a different look not only from the Senator Chronograph Panorama Date collection but also from the entire product line.
Glashütte Original Senator Chronograph Panorama Date (Stainless Steel) is powered with the Caliber Ref. 37-01. Self-winding movement beats at 4Hz and offers an impressive power reserve of 70 hours when fully wound. In addition to the famous panoramic date located at 6 o’clock position, the movement features a column wheel Flyback chronograph function with 30-minute and 12-hour counters and can be enjoyed through the sapphire display caseback.
The new model is offered with two strap options including a black rubber strap which is quite an extra ordinary choice for the brand and a stainless steel bracelet.
