Hublot reinforces its expertise in modern and alternative materials with Big Bang Unico Yellow Magic, made of ceramic material that attracts attention with its vibrant yellow color.
In line with its "Art of Fusion" philosophy of advanced materials and its bold ultramodern design approach, Hublot has long maintained its leading position in the use of high-tech alloys and materials. The famous brand also included models using these alternative and innovative materials in the novelties introduced at the Watches & Wonders 2021 fair. Here we are with the Hublot Big Bang Unico Yellow Magic Ceramic offering a vivid yellow tone that evokes the joy of life that we have not lost despite everything as well as the approaching summer.
Designed on the modern Big Bang platform, the case measures 42mm in diameter. In the production of the case, a bright yellow ceramic alloy, which took four years of R&D work, was used. With its 1350 HV hardness (unlike the 1200 HV of standard ceramic alloys), the case offers more scratch resistance than traditional ceramic alloys. Equipped with an AR-coated sapphire crystal on the front side, the case sports a matt black winding crown, a set of pushers, and bezel screws. Offering a bold look thanks to its contrasting color palette, the case is water-resistant to 100 meters.
The model features a skeleton-style dial, also including yellow/black contrasting accents. In addition to numeral and stick markers, the skeleton hands and chronograph counters are also finished in matching yellow. Despite its complex layout, the dial performs successfully in terms of legibility.
The model, which is limited to 250 pieces only, is powered by the automatic chronograph Caliber HUB1280 UNICO movement, which offers a power reserve of 72 hours/3 days. The new model comes on a black lining yellow rubber strap and a folding clasp made of black ceramic/black PVD coated titanium materials. The list price for the model is EUR 25,900.
