Hublot is the guest of our Hands-On corner today with the Classic Fusion Chronograph Berluti "Cold Gold" model, which is co-designed with the world famous French shoe manufacturer and Hublot’s brand partner (since 2016) Berluti.
Hublot, famous for its ‘Art of Fusion’ motto, and French luxury shoe manufacturer Berluti are collaborating since 2016. Within the scope of this partnership, the new collection that is introduced to watch enthusiasts consists of two models each being limited to 200 units only. The model we opted for our review attracts attention with its case made of aged-look bronze.
The model, which shares the Classic Fusion platform, comes with a 45mm diameter and 13.40mm height case. Equipped with scratch-resistant sapphire crystals on both sides, the case is waterproof up to 50 meters / 5 bars. The case is made of aged-look bronze alloy and adorned with Berluti Scritto script motif with black filling, which is in harmony with the overall design of the model.
The dial of the model is made of leather from the famous French shoe manufacturer, as we are familiar with the previous Berluti Collection models. The dial, which is chosen according to the brown theme of the model, has gold plated hands and aged look indexes finished in black. The sub-dials are designed with a plain brown surface, which improves the legibility. The lack of a date display was also a nice touch in terms of dial’s aesthetic integrity.
The Hublot Classic Fusion Chronograph Berluti "Cold Gold" model uses the Caliber HUB1143 movement, which we will remember from many different models of the brand. The automatic Bi-Compax chronograph movement, operating at 4Hz (28.800vph) and offering a power reserve of 42 hours at full installation, can be viewed thanks to the sapphire crystal display case back.
The leather strap on the model is also tailored to the overall theme. The strap is made of brown Venezia leather with an antique effect on a vulcanized black rubber lining, accompanied by a Hublot signed folding clasp, which is designed to match the case.
