Inspired by Harry Winston’s favorite diamond cut, the new Emerald 33mm offers gender-free elegance with its characteristic octagonal case, elegant details and with our without diamonds versions.
Harry Winston, known as the King of Diamonds for its historically important collection of precious stones, is one of the names who revolutionized American jewelry trends with its modern approach to diamond cutting and design. Winston benefited from minimalist designs that highlighted the glow of natural beauty by freeing precious stones from old-fashioned, heavy metal structures and often re-cutting them. One of these cutting techniques inspires the collection, which is the subject of our article.
Previously presented with smaller, more feminine cases, the Emerald collection is now available with 33mm diameter models in 18K white or rose gold. The octagonal architecture of the case and polished curved lines are very successful in reflecting the light. The case is equipped with a sapphire crystal case back and is water-resistant to 30 meters. The sapphire crystal on the front side provides easy legibility thanks to its anti-reflective coating.
The Harry Winston Emerald collection includes two different movements as mechanic and Quartz. The automatic Caliber HW2003 provides 72 hours of power reserve when fully wound.
The dial design varies depending on the cases. Harry Winston Emerald 18K white gold case (Ref. EMEAHD33WW001) features a matte, blue-to-black gradient dial with 18K gold Emerald hands indexes, while the 18K rose gold case (Ref. EMEAHD33RR001) features a silvery opaline dial.
The watches come with a blue or brown crocodile strap according to the case material, complemented by 18K white or pink gold clasp.
The new collection comes in six different variants including a pair of versions equipped with approximately 1.57 carats (94 pieces) of diamonds.
