IWC brings together the Pilot's Watch Chronograph 41 model family with gold and green, two important details of luxury watchmaking.
The most important breakthrough of the famous brand regarding the novelties of this year was the renewed face of the Ingenieur model, which came to life in the skillful hands of the famous watch designer Gerald Genta. The new collection, added to the IWC product line with four different references, attracted great attention with its retro design enriched with modern touches.
Of course, the novelties of the brand were not limited to the fact that Ingenieur took its place in the world of watches again. IWC continued to add different models to its Pilot's Watch collection, which is kind of synonymous with the brand. The latest model of these novelties took its place in the brand's Pilot's Watch Chronograph 41 product group. The new model, which is decorated with a green color theme that seems to never go out, comes with a gold case for the first time in the collection.
The new model comes with a 41mm diameter and 14.5mm high case. Although the case, which we remember from the past Pilot's Watch Chronograph 41 models, does not offer anything new in terms of form, it is made of 18K 5N gold alloy, a first in the product group. Scratch-resistant sapphire crystals are used on the front and back of the gold case, which instantly transforms the model from a tool watch to a luxury sports chronograph. The curved sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating at the front underlines the pilot's watch theme of the model with its form designed to be resistant to sudden pressure changes. Offering 100 meters of water resistance, the case sports an IWC-signed screw-in crown.
Another innovation of the stylish model is seen in the dial section. The sunray-patterned green dial houses large print indices and gold-plated hands. The dial, which includes day and date features as well as the chronograph function, offers sufficient legibility in almost any environment thanks to the Super-LumiNOVA material applied to the hands and indices. The snailed chronograph sub-dials, which resemble a record surface, offer enough contrast to be read quickly without the need for a change in the color palette.
IWC Pilot's Watch Chronograph 41 Ref. IW388110 beats by the manufacture Caliber 69385. The automatic movement, which includes day and date indicators as well as a column wheel coordinator chronograph feature, operates at a frequency of 4Hz (28.800vph) and offers a power reserve time of up to 46 hours when fully wound.
The new model comes with a green rubber strap/18K 5N gold buckle combination designed following the general theme. The "EasX-CHANGE" compatible strap, the patented easy band replacement feature of the brand, can be disassembled and installed in seconds without the need for any tool. Added to the standard (not limited edition) collection, the model is available at a list price of CHF 20,000 (excluding taxes).
