Jaeger-LeCoultre, the luxury watch brand that succeeded to excite watch lovers with its every new model, became the main sponsor of the Venice International Film Festival for the 15th time this year. At the film festival, the brand honored Costa-Gavras, an important contributor to the contemporary cinema with ‘Jaeger-LeCoultre Glory to the Filmmaker’. Jaeger-LeCoultre, which gladly participated in this important event, presented the Master Grande Tradition Tourbillon Céleste model during the festival.

This new model of the brand demonstrates JLC’s watchmaking skills through an undeniable charm. Master Grande Tradition Tourbillon Céleste, complex, kinetic and poetic, follows the brand’s contemporary models in terms of design and decoration, such as Master Grande Tradition Repetition Minutes Perpetuelle or Gyrotourbillon Westminster Perpetuel.

Tourbillon Céleste is not a new model. However, it has a whole new form. The 18K white gold case with a diameter of 43mm stands out with its surface texture and its way of reflecting the light. Most of the case is mirror polished. Parallel accents in the case illuminate the matt or glossy parts in the concave and convex areas.

The real impressive ‘action’ takes place on the dial. The model’s flying tourbillon provides a complex and unique kinetic appearance by completing the orbital tour within the dial in 23 hours 56 minutes and 4 seconds. This unusual time interval shows the length of a sideral day calculated from the distant stars instead of the Sun. The classical 24-hour period is followed by the hands in the center.

The center of the dial of Master Grande Tradition Tourbillon Céleste displays the constellations of the Zodiac calendar, depicting the night of the Northern Hemisphere. The small gold marker, seen just beyond the orbit of the flying tourbillon, revolves around the dial throughout the year to show where we are according to the ancient star calendar. The true beauty of the dial comes out at night thanks to the Super-LumiNova phosphor application.

Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Grande Tradition Tourbillon Céleste is powered by the manufacture Caliber 946. The hand-wound movement, which is enjoyable through the sapphire crystal display case back, offers a 45-hour power reserve when fully wound.
