Longines brings together the Spirit collection, which is considered one of the most successful model families it has introduced in recent years, with the second time zone function.
The Spirit collection, introduced in 2020, attracted great attention with its characteristic theme that combines classic pilot's watch design elements with today's norms and technology. The model family, where Mehmetali Dölen, one of our Horofriend friends, also shared his experiences on HoroboxTV, soon gained the admiration of enthusiasts interested in the mid-range segment with its features that successfully blended classic and modern details. The famous brand presented its new models with the second time zone feature to watch enthusiasts through a special online event.
Let's take a closer look at the model family introduced with six new versions.
The new collection comes with a 42mm diameter and 13.90mm high case. The case, which displays a presence in harmony with the neo-classical style of the model family, offers an extremely stylish and high-quality look with its design in which matte and glossy surfaces are used together. The front of the stainless steel case sports a bi-directional rotating bezel with black, green, and blue ceramic inserts. The case, equipped with a domed and double AR-coated sapphire crystal on the front, hosts a Longines signed screw-lock winding crown and a case back that is fixed to the case with six screws. Standing out with its sporty design, the case can withstand water pressure up to 100 meters.
The Longines Spirit Zulu Time is available with three different dial options adorned with the signature details of the Spirit concept. Matte black, sandblasted anthracite, and sunray patterned blue dials host appliqué indices and baton-style hands that offer a 3D look. The GMT function is monitored by the extra hand placed in the center. The dial, which offers maximum legibility in almost any environment with its Super-LumiNOVA filled indexes and hands, has a date window at 6 o'clock.
The new model family is powered by the ETA-based Caliber L844.4 movement. The automatic movement, exclusively designed for the brand, offers a power reserve time of up to 72 hours when fully wound, with the help of its high-tech components and 25.200vph operating frequency.
In addition to the three-piece bracelet equipped with an easy-change system, the collection also offers three leather strap options finished in brown, beige, and blue. Reference information is as follows:
