MB&F which is formed of the horological genius Maximilian Büsser and friends introduced a new limited edition model HM7 Aquapod as a part of their Baselworld 2018 novelties.
MB&F is a brand that has been able to attract attention with its products that have been designed within its vision that is contrary to traditional watchmaking since its establishment. Leaded by its founder Maximilian Büsser and his friends, MB&F is creating mechanical artworks for both the wrist and the desk.
The new version of the HM7 Aquapod Green Bezel is one of these masterpieces. The limited to 50 units only model is offered in a titanium case measuring 53.8mm x 21.3mm and made of titanium. And no, we do not think this one would be great daily rocker either.
The model, which eliminates the uncomfortable feel on the wrist that occurs due to the height of the case with its moving lugs, breaks a fresh ground in terms of being extra ordinary. HM7 Aquapod Green Bezel, which offers features like 50 meters water resistance and sapphire crystal, sports a green colored diver’s bezel around its case. I do not need to mention the contrast between a diver’s watch and 50 meters since it’s a MB&F timepiece.
Indicating that the design of the HM7 Aquapod Green Bezel is inspired by the jellyfish, the design team has emphasized this inspiration in many details of the model. Engineers who successfully transferred the image of the tentacles of the jellyfish in to the oscillating rotor that winds up the movement, also managed to adapt the circles that form the creature’s the neuron network to the hour and the minute counter. As many jellyfish species glows in the dark, the engineers guaranteed the optimal legibility under every occasion by transferring this feature to the hands as well as the movement itself.
The MB&F HM7 features an in-house movement developed specifically for this model. The 37-jewels automatic movement consists of 303 parts and offers 72 hours of power reserve when fully wound. The majestic looking Flying Tourbillon cage, which is located at the center and top of the movement, is supported by the oscillating rotor made of platinum and titanium.
MB&F HM7 Aquapod Green Bezel is offered on a black rubber strap that is secured by a folding clasp.
