Nomos Club Sport Neomatik 37 Polar Blue & Petrol Green

Nomos is expanding its popular Club Sport Neomatik model family with two new versions. Standing out with their compact designs, the models also host two new dial colors.

Nomos, one of the young names of German watchmaking, has been continuing its rise with firm steps since its establishment in 1990. Focusing on making simple and functional products with models close to the Bauhaus line of the German design school, the brand is also appreciated for its in-house movements.

Club family, which has a more robust structure and is designed to attract the attention of a younger profile, introduced the Sport neomatik 42 Date model in 2019. One of the biggest watches of Nomos, the 42 mm Club Sport neomatik date has also managed to gain a solid place in the product group with its robust structure and ambitious water resistance value of 300m.

The new versions come with a 37mm diameter and 8.4mm height cases that reminds us the downsizing trend in the world of watchmaking. Although I haven't had the opportunity to try it on my wrist yet, the cases, the dimensions of the stainless steel case looks perfect on paper. Equipped with a screw-lock crown and sapphire crystals on both sides, the cases are waterproof up to 200 meters, as befits the sports emphasis in the model name.

In the new dials, defined as Petrol Green and Polar Blue, the brand's characteristic baton and large numeral indices are used together. There is no longer a date window on the dial, where pencil-style hands and a small seconds counter at 6 o'clock display the time. Let us remind you that it is possible to read the time clearly in almost any environment thanks to the dial components with Super-LumiNOVA phosphor material.

The in-house Caliber DUW 3001 gives life to the model family. The automatic movement, which is entitled to enter the ultra-thin category with its total thickness of only 3.2mm, operates at a frequency of 3Hz (21,600vph) and offers a power reserve time of up to 42 hours when fully wound. Equipped with the brand's patented Swing System escapement and bidirectional rotor, the caliber adds a luxurious touch to the model's simple design with its flame-blued screws, rhodium-plated three-quarters and main plates, Glashütte ribbing and Nomos perlage.

The new models are secured to the wrist with a Club Sport style, three-piece stainless steel bracelet, and folding clasp. The list price for the models is EUR 2,780.
