Officine Panerai introduced four new models under the brand’s youngest collection Luminor Due.

The Luminor Due Collection has been added to the brand’s product line in 2016. Hosting the thinnest timepieces ever designed by the Italian origin brand, the Luminor Due Collection has attracted a great deal of interest from the watch aficionados. The watch enthusiasts which have been distant to the brand previously due to its big and hefty designs was quite happy with the new models while the loyal Panerai fans (aka Paneristi) criticised the new collection for messing with the brand’s DNA.

The new trend that began with the Luminor Due continued with the introduction of the 42mm Luminor Submersible, which was another successful move by the brand. Last but not least, Panerai released a quartet of new models under the young Luminor Due Collection.

LUMINOR DUE 3 DAYS TITANIO (PAM00728)

LUMINOR DUE 3 DAYS ORO ROSSO (PAM00741)

The first timepiece we have here from the Luminor Due 42mm series is the Ref. PAM00728 model. The new model is offered in a 42mm matt titanium case with a mirror polished bezel. The Sandwich style dial of the model is finished in SunRay blue with gold tone accents and a matching patina tone SuperLuminova phosphor base.

The other timepiece designed in 42mm Luminor Due style is the Ref. PAM00741 model. Offered in a solid 18K pink gold case with fully mirror polished finish, the new model is equipped with an ivory color dial which we might call rare for Panerai. The dial is accompanied with blue indices and gold hands making the timepiece a true eye-catcher.

The new models are offered on blue alligator straps that are secured with pin type buckles made of titanium or 18K pink gold depending on the cases. Both models are water resistant to 30 meters and they are equipped with scratch resistant sapphire crystals on both sides.

The new timepieces are powered by the brand’s in-house Caliber Ref. P.1000. Hand-wound movement offers 72 hours of power reserve when fully wound and can be enjoyed through the sapphire crystal display casebacks. The movement (Ref. P.1000 / 10) in the 18K pink gold model (PAM00741) features a skeletonized main bridge which allows its double barrels to be seen through the caseback.
