One of the latest models introduced before the upcoming Baselworld exhibition came from RADO brand. The new model from the HyperChrome collection comes in the foreground with the use of carbon and bronze materials.
First of all I would like to point out that I really liked the new limited edition model. Black ceramics and bronze material go in perfect harmony. I believe the new model -limited to a span of 999 units- will be one of the most exclusive novelties in Baselworld 2018.
The case, in matte black high-tech ceramic, monobloc construction, measures 45mm x 13mm. It has a polished black high-tech ceramic bezel with engraved tachymeter filled with white lacquer, a bronze crown and pushers, and bronze side inserts. Featuring a domed and AR-coated sapphire crystal on the front and a sapphire crystal display back, the case is water resistance to 100 meters.
The dial, one of the most beautiful details of the watch is black with rose gold colored applied indices with white SuperLuminova phosphor material. Rose gold colored applied Arabic numbers, a rose gold colored rotating anchor symbol, and silver colored printed Rado and Automatic logos are present on the dial. Rose gold colored hands are accompanied with black veneer and white SuperLuminova. Hour and minute counters are also rose gold.
The model is powered by the ETA Caliber 2894-2 with 37 jewels. Self-winding movement beats at 28,800vph and offers a power reserve of 42 hours when fully wound. The oscillating rotor is finished in black and visible through the sapphire crystal display caseback.
It comes on a brown vintage-look leather strap with a steel folding clasp with polished black high-tech ceramic cover.
