The latest fruit of the Richard Mille and McLaren collaboration, the model is inspired by the Speedtail, the newest car in McLaren's Ultimate line. Designed as a three-seater Grand Tourer, the hypercar inspires the new RM with its teardrop form, the most aerodynamic shape found in nature.

The case, which emerged as a result of an R&D work for perfection over a total of 18 months, measures 41.8mm × 48.25mm × 14.15mm. The cutouts on the case at 2, 4, 8, and 10 o'clock are inspired by the prominent notches on the Speedtail's hood. Grade 5 titanium and Carbon TPT, which are among the signature materials of RM, were used in the construction of the case. With sapphire crystals on the front and back, the case is water-resistant to 50 meters.

The model's skeleton-style dial has a perforated date window at 12 o'clock, and a colored power reserve indicator at 9 o'clock. At the 3 o'clock position, there is an indicator (Neutral / Winding / Hand-Setting), showing the positions of the crown just like an automobile gear lever.

The model is powered by the manufacture Caliber CRMT4. The automatic movement features high-tech components such as Grade 5 titanium bridges, bridge screws, main body, and rotor hub. The wheels working in the caliber, which offers 50 hours of power reserve when fully wound, are embroidered with the McLaren logo adorning the Speedtail's hood, while the domed parts lead the new surface profiles required to turn the curves of the car. The platinum/red gold rotor is inspired by the McLaren Speedtail's hood and roofline. The CRMT4 is the first for an in-house tourbillon at Richard Mille, with a power reserve indicator as well as the grande date and function selector complications.
