Richard Mille RM 47 Tourbillon

Richard Mille, one of the first names that come to mind when it comes to exotic watches, introduced the new limited edition model, which he designed inspired by the samurai culture and Bushido philosophy.

Limited to only 75 pieces, RM 47 was created after a process that took about four years. At the heart of the watches, an exclusive caliber is used, which includes a stylized samurai armor made entirely of handcrafted solid gold. The armor figure, which draws attention with its fine details, was made by hand by the famous hand engraver Pierre-Alain Lozeron. The paint on the armor was applied by Lozeron's wife, Valérie Lozeron.

Star Formula 1 driver Fernando Alonso, known for his fascination with traditional Japanese art as well as Richard Mille models, played a significant role in the creation of the extraordinary model.

The new model features details that refer to Japanese culture, such as the crown inlaid with titanium, Carbon TPT® and polished 3N yellow gold. A Japanese maple leaf motif was also featured, symbolizing the seasons, grace, beauty, and the unceasing flow of life.

To obtain all eleven components of the Samurai in the RM 47 Tourbillon, the watchmakers worked 16 hours for the engraving and 9 hours for the painting. The sides of the case, which hosts the figure, are made of 3N yellow gold, while the other parts are made of black PRP ceramic.

Emphasizing both extraordinary aesthetic details and the brand's emphasis on tradition and perfection, the RM 47 Tourbillon took its place on the radar of the brand's strict followers.
