TAG Heuer’s new Carrera models take the original racing chronograph to a luxury level with four new models.
Continuing its 160th-anniversary celebrations, TAG Heuer added four new chronographs to its Carrera collection. This reinterpreted Carrera is inspired by the legendary Heuer Carrera with a silver dial, released in 1963, and comes with a steel bezel without a tachymetric scale. All Carrera Chronograph 42mm Heuer 02 Automatic models have 42mm stainless steel cases. The cases are resistant to water pressure up to 100 meters. The domed sapphire crystal has an anti-reflective coating on both sides. The chronograph pushers are located at 2 and 4 o'clock positions.
TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph 42mm Heuer 02 Automatic models are available in opaline black (Ref. CBN2010.BA0642), blue (Ref. CBN2011.BA0642), gray (Ref. CBN2012.FC6483), and opaline silver (Ref. CBN2013.FC6483) dial colors. In the gray and blue versions, a sunray pattern adorns the dial. There are 'azurage' sub-dials at 3 and 9 o'clock, a modest date window at 6 with a small-seconds counter on it.
Time is read through rhodium-plated, polished markers and white Super-LumiNOVA filled hands. On the silver dial, unlike the others, there are 5N rose gold plated hands and markers.
Carrera Chronograph models with black and blue dials are complemented by a stainless steel bracelet, and versions with gray and silver dials are complemented by a brown alligator strap.
Carrera is powered by the automatic movement Heuer 02, produced in-house by the brand, that provides 80 hours of power reserve when fully wound.
