TAG Heuer and Porsche have teamed up again to present the TAG Heuer Carrera Porsche Chronograph.
TAG Heuer and Porsche have a long history. Their first collaboration dates back to 1963 when Jack Heuer made the Heuer Carrera chronograph in honor of the successful Porsche 911 Carrera developed by Ferdinand "Ferry" Ernst. The duo co-created the TAG-Porsche engine from 1984 to 1986, which brought McLaren three consecutive F1 world championships. In 2019, they were back on the agenda with a partnership they formed with a new Formula E team to contribute to the world of single-seat electric car racing.
TAG Heuer and Porsche have reunited to present the TAG Heuer Carrera Porsche Chronograph. For the new model, it is based on the Carrera Sport Chronograph engraved with a tachymeter scale engraved on the bezel. The model features Porsche's signature details with a dial and sub-dials in red, black, and gray colors that resemble a speedometer.
The dark gray dial offers excellent readability in any environment with its grainy surface that suggests a racetrack, and contrasting black, white red handles. Just above the dial, a curved sapphire crystal with double anti-reflective coating rises. The steel and gray chronograph pushers surround the steel winding crown with an eye-catching red line. Designed with a diameter of 44mm, the case is waterproof up to 100 meters, and thanks to its sapphire crystal display case back, it reveals the movement that resembles an engine under the hood.
Equipped with the Caliber Heuer 02 automatic chronograph movement, the model is offered with a hand-stitched black calf leather strap (CHF 5700.00) reminiscent of the Porsche seat design or a steel H-shaped bracelet (CHF 5900.00).
