The coolest “square watch” of all time continues to defy time with a new dial.
TAG Heuer Monaco, which is among the first names that come to mind when square watches are mentioned, continues to decorate the catalogs of the brand for more than 50 years. The famous watch, worn by Steve McQueen, whose name is synonymous with charisma, in the 1971 blockbuster LeMans movie, embraces modern times with brand new materials and dial designs. The rightful owner of the timeless definition, Monaco is once again winning the hearts of watch lovers with its new Racing Blue model.
The newly added model to the collection draws attention with its sporty dial with blue chronograph counters on a sunray metallic gray background. The yellow line added to the 12 o'clock marker, together with the central seconds hand prepared in the same tone, adds color to the dial. The date window, on the other hand, preserves the integrity of the dial, thanks to the 6 o'clock marker location and blending disc finish.
At the heart of the new model, which comes with an ultra-light titanium case measuring 39mm x 39mm, is the automatic chronograph Caliber 11 with a 40-hour power reserve. The elegant movement, with its perforated rotor designed in harmony with the dial color, offers an eye-catching look even on the back of the model.
The model, which is limited to only 1000 pieces, is accompanied by a perforated (racing) strap made of blue calf leather. The stylish model is secured to the wrist by a titanium folding clasp with the TAG Heuer emblem. The new model carries a price tag of CHF 9,000.
