Audemars Piguet pays homage to its glorious past by re-issuing the first Royal Oak Offshore model, which has been designed to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Royal Oak Offshore Collection and unexpectedly carried the brand to the top of the luxury sports watch segment.
The new Royal Oak Offshore, which pretty much looks like the original version issued in 1993 but also benefits the technological innovations of today, comes with a stainless steel case measuring 42mm in diameter, a blue dial and a set of winding crown and chronograph pushers adorned with blue rubber accents. While the water resistant rating is same with the other versions currently in production as 100 meters, the new model is equipped with a solid stainless steel caseback to represent all exclusive features of the original model.
Unlike its predecessor, the new model is powered by the in-house Caliber 3126/3840. The self-winding movement operates at 21600vph and offers a power reserve of 50 hours when fully wound.

Among the novelties, there is a pair of new Royal Oak Offshore models to celebrate the 25th anniversary of ROO collection again, which will surely bring a new breeze to the family with their futuristic designs. The new models come in 45mm diameter cases offered in stainless steel and 18K pink gold.
Both models are powered by the in-house movement Caliber 2947 which features a 30 minute chronograph among its tourbillon complication and offers a 173 hour power reserve on fully wound condition.
The new models are equipped with sapphire crystals on both sides and black rubber straps. They are water resistant to 100 meters.

In the Audemars Piguet family, ceramic has a place of its own. It seems that the tradition goes on with the SIHH 2018 novelties as we see different ceramic models.
The new models come with 44mm diameter ceramic cases/bezels that are available in black or white colors. Both models are equipped with scratch resistant sapphire crystals on both sides and they are powered with the Caliber 2885 movement which offers a power reserve of 45 hours when fully wound. The self-winding movement features split-seconds chronograph and minute repeater complications as well as a perpetual calendar
The hardness level of the black model is 7 times higher than the stainless steel thanks to its yttrium oxide alloy, while the hardness of the white model with aluminum oxide is 9 times higher than the stainless steel. Shortly, we have a pair of watches that will never lose their brand-new appearance.
