BR 05 Black Steel, the urban explorer of Bell & Ross, draws attention with its polished finish and youthful design.
We all know the French brand Bell & Ross and its watches inspired by aviation. Founded in 1992 with the motto 'function shapes the form', the brand offers unique designs with the energy of its young age. Bell & Ross, which was generally inspired by the aviation instruments, introduced the BR 05 collection prepared for the gentlemen of the city in 2019.
Legibility, functionality, reliability, and precision... These are the four items that Bell & Ross consider when designing watches. Bell & Ross BR 05 Black Steel model, which offers the urban look at its best, has been designed exactly in line with these items. Although it makes you say “Hmm...” at first glance, you had better not make final judgment without trying it on.
Bell & Ross BR 05 Black Steel (Ref. BR05A-BL-ST / SST), which comes with a 40mm stainless steel case, is the first model in which the angular case is integrated into the metal bracelet. With its soft angled corners, polished flat surfaces and beveled edges, the case is quite remarkable. I don't know what you think about the 40mm diameter (please write in the comments below), but I think - especially if you are a 'big girl' like me - is a very reasonable measure for both men and women. The case, which is water-resistant to 100 meters, is equipped with a screw-mount bezel; a flat AR-coated sapphire crystal on the front side and a transparent case back. The crown guard featuring the same round lines boosts the overall appeal of the watch.
The Sellita SW300-based automatic Caliber BR-CAL.321 that provides 38 hours of power reserve when fully wound powers Bell & Ross BR 05 Black Steel. The openwork rotor, inspired by Range Rover vehicles, adds pleasure to the visual feast.
The dial of the black steel model is adorned by the black sunbeam pattern. The date window is located at the 3 o'clock position. The applique numbers and markers are Super-LumiNOVA applied.
A polished steel bracelet complements Bell & Ross BR 05 Black Steel. The model can be combined with a black rubber strap as well.
It may be perceived as a light model for people who have been passionate about luxury watchmaking and have been interested in watches for years. However, it is worth considering for the newcomers and younger enthusiasts.
