Vacheron Constantin Les Cabinotiers Grand Complication Split-Seconds Chronograph

Vacheron Constantin presents the most special horological miracle of recent years to the taste of watch lovers. The new model, which has 24 complications, will be breathtaking not only with its features but also with its industry-first design and possibly its price tag.

The new Les Cabinotiers Grand Complication Split-Seconds Chronograph, which has earned the title of the most complicated watch produced by Vacheron Constantin, has a unique case architecture. Since the watch has functional dials on both sides, the watch takes on a completely different face by removing the straps, reversing the case, and reassembling them back. VC engineers have found this ingenious solution, as it would be impractical to fit all the features of such models with many complications into a single dial.

The case of the watch is made of 18K pink gold and has a full diameter of 50mm. The thickness value is shocking in itself, 21mm! In addition to tracking time on the front dial, chronograph and perpetual calendar features are also available. The rear dial hosts astronomical features, including solar time and Equation of Time calculations.

Another complication the watch has is the Minute Repeater. To evaluate this under the ordinary (!) Minute Repeater function would be a great injustice to Vacheron Constantin because the brand has special engineers working for this complication only as well as a contract with Abbey Road Studios. Nope, you did not hear it wrong, along with the “La Musique du Temps®” there is also a certificate with the original sound recording of the model.

You can track the hour, minute, date, day, month, day-night, leap year calendar with perpetual calendar and split-seconds chronograph features with a single glance at the 50mm wide surface. On the back, you see the real solar time, sunrise and sunset, Equation of Time, the moon phase that requires adjustment every 1000 years only, and the remaining power reserve indicator.

Vacheron Constantin Les Cabinotiers Grand Complication Split-Seconds Chronograph has a hand-wound Caliber 2756 consisting of 1163 pieces in the case. The movement, measuring 33.3mm x 16.35mm, has 40 jewels, beats at a frequency of 18000vph, and offers a power reserve of about 65 hours. The “Hallmark of Genève” seal, which proves that the movement and of course the rest of the watch is manufactured with superior workmanship and engineering standards, takes its place with pride. Let me add that the same movement is also equipped with one of the most special examples of the “repeater” complication, which has a unique and special place in Haute Horlogerie.

A brown alligator strap and an 18K pink gold folding buckle complement the Vacheron Constantin Les Cabinotiers Grand Complication Split-Seconds. The model is a unique piece and the MSRP is a mystery for now.
