Zenith adds a new model with a mirror theme from top to bottom to its Defy Extreme collection, which is equipped with a chronograph feature that can measure with 1/100 second precision.
Zenith, one of the well-established names in the watch world, expands the star product line of the Defy model family, Extreme, with a brand-new model. The focal point of the new model is the mirror theme.
The new model comes with a stainless-steel case designed with a diameter of 45mm and a height of 15.4mm. The case, made of stainless steel, has fully polished surfaces, unique to the model. The model, which has sapphire crystals on both sides, is resistant to 200 meters of water pressure.
While the base of the model's perforated dial is made of mirror-like sapphire crystal, the frames on the chronograph counters complete the mirror theme with a silver tone. The dial, where faceted applique indices and baton hands show the time, also has a power reserve indicator at 12 o'clock.
The new model family draws its power from the El Primero 9004 movement, which is among the innovative calibers of the watch world with its double escapement system. The automatic chronograph movement operates at a frequency of 5Hz (36,000vph), which is considered the symbol detail of the El Primero concept, and offers a power reserve time of up to 50 hours when fully wound. 1/100 sec. The chronograph function, which can measure with precision, derives this feature from the chronograph escapement that operates at an astonishing speed of 50Hz (360,000vph).
The model comes with a bracelet made of fully polished steel, compatible with the mirror theme applied to the case. The list price for the model, which is compatible with the quick-change system in the box set and includes two extra strap options, one rubber and one velcro, is CHF 25,900.
