A. Lange & Söhne crowns its 175th year in traditional luxury watchmaking with three new models dedicated to the founder of the brand, Ferdinand Adolph Lange.

A. Lange & Söhne, one of the representatives of traditional luxury watchmaking of German origin, immortalizes the adventure that started with the first pocket watch produced on December 7, 1845, with three new models. Dedicated to the brand's founder Ferdinand Adolph Lange, the new series hosts Thin, Rattrapante, and Tourbograph Perpetual models. The entire series comes in 18K Honeygold gold alloy cases.

1815 THIN HONEYGOLD “Homage to F. A. Lange” Ref. 239.050

The new model comes in a 38mm diameter and 6.3mm high case. Offering a classic theme with its thick and short lugs, a winding crown with the ALS logo accompanies the case with scratch-resistant sapphire crystals on both sides.

The dial, made of white enamel finish on a copper base plate, features hour and minute hands in Honeygold. On the dial where the ALS logo is located at 12 o'clock, the time is displayed with Arabic numeral indices and a thin minute scale.

1815 THIN HONEYGOLD "Homage to F. A. Lange" beats with the manufacture Caliber L093.1. 21-jewels/167-piece hand-wound movement beats at a frequency of 3Hz (21.600vph) and offers 72 hours of power reserve when fully wound. The movement, which is completely hand-decorated and assembled per ALS standards, also features plates made of untreated German silver body, a signature detail of the brand.

Limited to only 175 units, the model is offered on a hand-stitched brown alligator strap accompanied by a Honeygold prong buckle.

Another model included in the newly introduced collection, 1815 RATTRAPANTE HONEYGOLD “Homage to F. A. Lange” stands out with its Rattrapante (split-second) feature.

The model's case, designed with a diameter of 41.2mm and a height of 12.6mm, is also made of 18K gold alloy Honeygold material patented to the brand. The case, with scratch-resistant sapphire crystals on both sides, houses a pair of rounded rectangular chronograph pushers and a winding crown with the ALS logo.

The dial of the new model features a solid silver dial with a black finish. Let us underline that the Honeygold material and a black dial were used together for the first time in this model. The Bi-Compax chronograph layout dial features the brand logo located on the inner bezel at 12 o'clock. The small second indicator at 6 o'clock and a 30-minute sub-dial that draws attention with its white gold pointer is at 12 o'clock. The centrally positioned chronograph second hand is made of rose gold plated steel, while the Rattrapante hand is in rhodium-plated steel.

1815 RATTRAPANTE HONEYGOLD "Homage to F. A. Lange" comes to life with the in-house Caliber L101.2. The hand-wound movement, operating at a frequency of 3Hz (21.600vph), offers up to 58 hours of power reserve when fully wound. The 36 jewels / 365-piece movement, like every ALS movement, consists of an untreated German silver main body and completely hand-decorated components. Every detail of the caliber, including the action of the split-second chronograph mechanism, which operates with two column wheels, can be viewed through the sapphire crystal case back.

Limited to 100 pieces and planned to be sold only through ALS boutiques, the model comes on a hand-stitched brown alligator strap accompanied by a Honeygold clasp.

TOURBOGRAPH PERPETUAL HONEYGOLD “Homage to F. A. Lange” Ref. 706.050FE

The last model of the new series is full of features expected to be found on a true flagship timepiece.

The case of the model made of Honeygold material is designed with a diameter of 43mm and a height of 16.6mm. The case, with sapphire crystals on both sides, features a crown for winding the watch and setting the time, two pushers for operating the chronograph function at 2 and 4 o’clock, a split-second button at 10 o’clock, and separate recessed correction push-pieces for advancing the date, day, month and moon phase.

The model sport black rhodium finished dial over an 18K Honeygold gold alloy plate. The indices, markers, and scales on the dial are embossed or embroidered. The hands of the hour, minute, and calendar functions are in Honeygold alloy, the chronograph hands are in gold-plated steel, and the Rattrapante and 30-minute counter hands are in of blued steel.

Undoubtedly, the most striking feature of the new model is the movement that gives life to five top complications of the watch world at the same time. The hand-wound Caliber L133.1 beats at 3Hz (21.600vph) and offers 36 hours of power reserve when fully wound. The movement equipped with the Fusée-Chain system combines heavyweights of traditional watchmaking like split-second chronograph, Perpetual Calendar, and Tourbillon. The caliber, which reveals the point that ALS has reached in both technological and decorative terms, can be viewed from the sapphire crystal display case back.
