Added to the Chopard product line in 2000, the Quattro Collection was one of the most successful examples of how technological superiorities can be applied without compromising the elegance part. The elegant collection, which maintained its place during the intervening 9 years with both technological and aesthetic updates, expanded with a new model introduced at this year’s Baselworld Watch and Jewelry trade show.

The new model comes in a 43mm diameter case like the previous model. Despite being sized boldly for a dress watch, the model looks smaller thanks to the modest 18K white gold tone and 8.84mm total thickness. The case, which sports both satin brushed and mirror polished surfaces, is equipped with anti-glare coated scratch resistant sapphire crystals on both sides. The model is water resistant to 50 meters / 5 bars.

The most striking feature of the model is the dial color. The dial, which is finished in a gray/blue tone, offers a stylish and subtle look with the 18K white gold case. Finished in vertical brush pattern, the dial is accompanied with applied rhodium-plated hour markers and numerals as well as Dauphine style hands. The arch-shaped power reserve indicator at 12 o’clock while the small seconds and date shares the same sub-dial at 6 o’clock.

Another important feature of the new model is undoubtedly its movement. Chopard L.U.C Quattro (Ref. 161926-1002) is powered by the Caliber Ref. L.U.C 98.01-L. 223 component manual winding movement beats at a frequency of 4Hz (28.000vph) and offers a whopping 216h/9day power reserve thanks to its four stacked barrels, which is also mentioned in the model’s name with the world Quattro. The movement is certified by COSC and Poinçon de Genève quality hallmark.
