Right after the introduction of the all-black ceramic version, Girard-Perregaux adds another ceramic Laureto to the collection with the diamond-set white ceramic version.
Designed by a Milanese architect in the 1970s most probably as a respond to the highly popular Gerald Genta classics like the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak and Patek Philippe Nautilus, the Laureto collection has been re-introduced at the Baselworld 2016 for the 225th anniversary of Girard-Perregaux.
The re-introduced models in 2016 had ladies versions despite the “men’s watch” past of the collection. However, this new model is the first ladies watch to be made from an alternative material like ceramic. There are 56 brilliant-cut diamonds are set on the model family’s signature octagon and circle combined bezel made of stainless steel. As in the other versions of the model, the dial is finished with the famous hobnail pattern. The date display is located at three o’clock.
Finished with a matte, linear brushing, the white ceramic case measures 38mm in diameter and 10.17mm high. Water resistant to 100m, the case is combines with a ceramic bracelet composed of satin-brushed, H-shaped links along with polished central links. The watch is powered by the in-house automatic cal. 3300, which beats at 4Hz and offers a 42-hour power reserve.
