Panerai, pepping up the industry with its novelties, released another spectacular timepiece. We strongly suggest you to get to the boutiques as soon as possible and get your name on the waiting list before it’s too late. Please welcome PAM00718 with its very first appearance in a digital media platform through Horobox.
We believe we are safe to say that the world of watches stood on its feet thanks to the novelties released by Panerai. The brand, which marked the SIHH 2016 with its new models, moved on through the blue dial new comers and the beautiful Luminor Due. While the end of the year is coming and the novelties are finally arriving the stores, Panerai came up with another bombshell novelty PAM00718.
The new model is offered in a Radiomir 1940 type case which is highly appreciated since its first release. Will officially be called the brand’s first 42mm 18K white gold Radiomir 1940, the new model offers a bunch of features which will surely be called breath taking by the loyal fans of Panerai.
The 18K white gold case bears 15% Palladium in the alloy to get the desired case tone. OP logo signed winding crown is also made of 18K white gold.
It is not easy to tell the importance of the “California Dial” here with a few words. Briefly, it is the dial type which was also used in the first Panerai launched at 1936. Another detail from the same era, the blued hands got together with the “Cali Dial” after a pretty long break.
When all is said and done, we recall three different models which feature the same configuration:
47mm Platinum Radiomir case
Brown Dial, Special Edition of 2006, limited to 99 pieces only
47mm Stainless Steel Radiomir Case
Black Dial, Special Edition of 2006, limited to 1936 pieces only
47mm Stainless Steel Radiomir Case
Black Dial, Special Edition of 2012, limited to 750 pieces only
Unlike the previous models, the California Dial offered in a 42mm Radiomir 1940 case, seems to provide superb night time legibility with its beige colored Super Luminova fillings. The 50M water resistant rating of the 18K white gold case is adequate.
The new model is powered up with one of the brand’s recently designed movements Caliber Ref. P.1000. The manual winding movement features 152 individual parts and offers 72h power reserve when fully wound.
The black alligator strap measures 22mm/18mm and sports a 18K white gold buckle teaming up to offer a balanced and comfortable wrist presence.
The model will be limited to 50 pieces only and offered in its exclusive special edition box set. The MSRP of the model is 19.900 EUR.
